Absconder evading his arrest from 19 years held in Awantipora: Police
Srinagar: Police in Awantipora arrested an absconder who was evading arrest from the last 19 years in case FIR No. 54/2004 of PS Awantipora, a police spokesman said Saturday.
He said that warrant under section 512 CrPC issued by the Court of Principal Session Judge Pulwama pending with Police Station Awantipora against an accused person identified as Mohammad Yousuf Sofi son of Ghulam Rasool Sofi resident of Panzgam was executed, who was evading his arrest from last 19 years, involved in case FIR NO. 54/2004 of Police Station Awantipora was arrested by a special Police team.
Subsequently, the arrested accused person was produced before the court of Law, the spokesman added.
