Illegal extraction of minerals: Police seizes two vehicles, arrests two drivers in Kulgam
Srinagar: Cracking a whip on illegal mining of minerals, police under the close supervision of SSP Kulgam have seized 2 vehicles and arrested 2 drivers in Kulgam, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said that a police party seized 2 vehicles (tractors) and arrested 2 drivers, involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals from Kandi Nala, near Sarmarg. The accused drivers have been identified as Mohammad Asif Malik son of Mohammad Ashraf Malik and Nadeem Ahmad Malik son of Ghulam Ahmad Malik, both residents of DK Marag.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 22/2024 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station DH Pora and investigation has been taken up, he added.
