Police arrests three gamblers in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police in Baramulla arrested three gamblers and seized stake money and playing cards from their possession. a police spokesman said Wednesday.
He said that acting on a specific information regarding gambling activities in the orchards of Takiya Wagoora, a police party raided the specific spot and apprehended three gamblers and recovered stake money of ₹2490/- and playing cards from their possession.
They have been identified as Irfan Ahmad Shah son of Afzal Shah, Yawar Ahmad Shah son of Mushtaq Ahmad and Riyaz Ahmad Shah son of Ghulam Rasool, all residents of Takiya Wagoora. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Kreeri and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
