Mission Vatsalya Kupwara organises Capacity Building Programme

KUPWARA: District Child Protection Unit, Mission Vatsalya Kupwara Saturday organised training cum capacity building programme on Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015, POCSO Act 2012, Adoption Regulations, and child rights at Mission Vatsalya Hall Branwari, Kupwara.

The program presided over by District Child Protection Officer Kupwara, was attended by Chairperson Child Welfare Committee Kupwara Ab Rashid Malik, Members CWC, Member Juvenile Justice Board Kupwara Mohd Ishaq Dar, District Child Protection Unit officials, Anganwadi workers, Prosecution Wing JJB Kupwara and social welfare officials.

During the program, various speakers highlighted the crucial role and responsibilities of stakeholders in ensuring the effective implementation of these Acts and encouraged active participation.

Chairperson CWC Kupwara explained the importance of the programme and gave a detailed description of working mechanism regarding Child Welfare Committee at the district level and detailed discussions were held on the rescue and rehabilitation process for various categories of vulnerabilities such as child labourers, begging child, missing child and runaway child, as per JJ Act.2015.

Speaking on the occasion, Gh Mohammad Lone, Protection Officer (NIC) highlighted working of DCPU- Mission Vatsalya and role of various line Departments.

On the occasion Mohammad Ishaq Dar (JJB Member) highlighted the role of stakeholders related to Child in conflict with law.

The certificates of participation were also distributed to acknowledge the active involvement of the participants in the programme.
