Police arrests four gamblers in Ganderbal, stake money seized
Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal arrested four gamblers and seized stake money and playing cards from their possession, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
He said that acting on a specific information regarding gambling activities on a link road at Barkati Mohalla Safapora-Hakbara, a Police party raided the specific spot and apprehended 04 gamblers & recovered stake money of ₹5800/- and playing cards from their possession.
They have been identified as Hilal Ahmad Malla son of Ali Mohammad Malla resident of Chandergair, Sajad Ahmad Sagoo son of Abdul Rehman Sagoo resident of Hakbara, Mohammad Ramzan Fafoo son of Bashir Ahmad Fafoo resident of Hakbara and Ghlam Qadir Shairgojree son of Noor Mohammad Shairgojree resident of Hakbara.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 04/2024, under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Safapora and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
