Several Pulwama villages demand realignment with nearest veterinary sub-block
Pulwama: The residents of several villages in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have demanded their realignment with nearest veterinary sub-block.
The residents of Wahibugh, Zadoora, Losewani, Nowpora, Chewakalan, Gusoo, Fresipora and its adjacent villages in Pulwama district said that they are currently part of Haal sub block that is very far off from these villages.
They said that Pulwama, Newa and Rohmoo sub blocks are very close to them and they must be realigned with these sub blocks.
Javid Ahmad, a local resident said that they are facing lot of problems while connecting with Haal sub block as the area falls around 20 kilometre from their village.
He said that for any kind documentation work regarding veterinary, they have no other option other than to visit Haal.
Shakeel Ahmad, another local resident said that most of the people in the area are rearing animals and for any kind of work related to their animals, they have to visit Haal.
He said that Newa and Rohmoo are very close to these villages and they must be realigned with them so that they won’t face any inconvenience.
The locals said that processes being followed for various schemes is taking a toll on the rearers.
They said that they have brought this issue in notice of concerned authorities several times but nothing has been done so far.
They requested higher ups to look into the matter at an earliest and take necessary steps in this regard so that people of these villages won’t suffer anymore.
Meanwhile, an official of the Animal husbandry department Pulwama said that reorganization is the mandate of higher ups and they have informed them in this regard.
