Protests amid shutdown against shifting of ADC office in Tral
Tral town erupted in protests amid complete shutdown against the General Administrative Department (GAD) order asking the ADC office to start working in the neighbouring town of Awantipora. In a government order issued yesterday ADC office in Tral was asked to function in the Awantipora. In the same GAD order transfer of Sub District Magistrate Tral was also mentioned in the order.
However, the transfer order of SDM Tral has been revoked now by the authorities.
Meanwhile, Civil Society and the Trade Union calls for shutdown in Tral against the order of shifting the ADC office to Awantipora rather than Tral, which is the Sub-district since a long time.
They demanded that ADC office should function in Tral.
