PPS Bemina organizes cross country run

Police Public School Bemina organized a cross country run for its students and teachers at Nehru Park here this morning. The run was flagged off by the SP East Shri Sheikh Faisal Qayoom.

415 students from class 6th to 12th and 70 staff members of the school participated in the run which started from Nehru Park at 7:30 Am and culminated at Botanical Garden, Srinagar at 8:30 Am. The participants were categorised in three categories viz Boys (senior), Boys (junior), and Girls.

In Boys (senior) category, Yaseen Lateef of class 9th son of Lateef Ahmad bagged first position, Muneer Ahmad Son of Parveez Ahmad of class 12th got second and Sahil Nazir son of Nazir Ahmad got third place.

In Boys (junior) category, Sarfaraz Ahmad son of Riyaz Ahmad of class 8th bagged first position, Asrar Ahmad son of Mohammad Yousuf of Class 7th bagged second and Zakir Malik son Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Malik of Class 8th got  third position in the competition.

Similarly, in Girls category Farhat Saleem Daughter of Mohammad Saleem of Class 9th, Ridha Jan of class 6th  and Iqra Manzoor of Class 9th got first, second and third places respectively.

A separate function will be organized wherein the participants who won first three places in different categories will be honored.

SDPO Nehru Park Owais Rashid, Principal Police Public School Tazim Wahidi, DO Nehru Park Imtiyaz Mir and other police officers and officials were present on this occasion.
