ACT holds condolence meeting, pays homage to actor director Mushtaq Kak

Srinagar: Actors’ Creative Theatre (ACT) in collaboration with All J&K Folk Artists Association and J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Wednesday organized a condolence meet to pay tributes to director and noted actor Mshtaq Kak.

The meeting held at Tagore hall in Srinagar was attended by more than 60 participants which included artists from the field of Theatre, TV, Films and some young art lovers.

A documentary film which was made on the life and works of Mushtaq Kak was screened. The participants got very emotional while watching the films.

After the screening of the film a few speakers spoke about the struggle, hard work, dedication and achievements of Mushtaq kak. They said he was a self-made profession who dedicated his whole life to the Art of Theatre.

The speakers also highlighted that he come from a humble background and contributed in promotion of the art of theatre at the national and international.

The speakers also highlighted the inspiration Mushtaq Kak gave to the next generation as he always encouraged the youth especially from J&K.

His contribution as an artist of cinema was also praised.

The speakers included Showkat Magray, Arshad Mushtaq, Shehzad Shabbeer, Akhtar Hussain, Gulzar Ganai, Syed Humayun Qaisar, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat and Zafar Iqbal Manhas.
