Police arrests chemist for possessing, supplying contraband substance
Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal alongwith Executive Magistrate concerned arrested a chemist for possessing and supplying contraband substance to the youth and sealed a medical shop at Wakoora, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said that the one peddler Hilal Ahmad Ganie son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Ganie resident of Wakoora was arrested by police few days back. He confessed that Ganie Medical Shop at Wakoora is supplier of contraband substances to the local youth of the area.
Acting swiftly police alongwith Executive Magistrate concerned raided Ganie Medical Shop at Wakoora. During search, contraband substance was recovered/seized on the spot and the accused (Chemist) identified as Mehraj-ud-Din Ganie resident of Wakoora was arrested for possessing and supplying the contraband substance to the local youth. Moreover, the Medical Shop was also sealed by the Executive Magistrate 1st Class Wakoora on the spot, the spokesman added.
