Kashmir region to experience erratic weather
Srinagar, Oct 7: The weather is all set to record a change in Kashmir region from today afternoon.
“A fast-moving Western Disturbance is likely to impact Jammu and Kashmir on October 9th. This disturbance is likely to bring rain and snow, starting in the afternoon. Initially, it will affect a few areas, and by night, most areas are expected to have received at least a spell of rain/snow,” a weather update issued here said.
This disturbance will be of short duration, and by the morning of October 10th, the weather is expected to clear up, it said.
Snowfall is expected in some higher reaches, including Zojila, Mughal Road, Sinthan Top, various other parts of the Pir Panjal Range, and the higher elevations of Gurez, Baramulla, Anantnag, and Kupwara districts, the update said, adding that no snowfall activity is expected in the plains.
