Depression is a term used for a situation where a person doesn’t feel mentally stable. In other words, depression is a condition where a person is not able to do his regular things properly or follow his daily schedule properly.

This invisible monster has become so common that no one is safe from his clutches. Depression is a mental disease that eats a person from inside and makes him hollow. The depressed person is not able to eat properly, write properly, read properly, look after himself, et cetera. It is a condition where thousands of thoughts come at a time, but the person is not able to decide or talk to anyone as his mental condition doesn’t allow him to do so. There are many causes responsible for this.

The first is the constant comparison. It is a condition where parents and elders compare their child with others continuously. This causes a sense of doubt to enter into a child’s mind. In the long run, it paves way for depression.

The second is bad treatment. A child is ill treated by his family and teachers because of something missing in the child. They think that it’s going to give a fruitful result but this irritates a child and make him mentally unstable as they feel decrement in love. The third is bullying.

This is the main case of depression in children according to some sources. It is a case where a peer group targets and attacks a single person. These cases mostly occur in schools and colleges. There are many other reasons too, that cause depression in children.

Depression can be treated by many ways like regular counselling, spending time with the depressed person, understanding his condition and helping him getting out of it;  otherwise it’s an open door  to the worst future.

There is no need to feel depressed. An atmosphere of understanding can help a lot in eradicating this monster. We all have to fight against it. It is curable and the cure lies in our hands.
