Police arrests five persons for illegal extraction of minerals
Srinagar: Police in Baramulla have arrested five persons and seized five vehicles for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, a police spokesman said Friday.
He said that a police party seized 02 vehicles (1 Tractor, 1 Tipper) and arrested 2 persons at Darpora Delina, involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals. They have been identified as Javid Ahmad Lone son of Late Abdul Khaliq Lone and Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Ahmad Bhat both residents of Delina.
Similarly in another action, a police party seized 3 vehicles (tractors) and arrested 3 persons, involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Ferozpora Nallah Kunzer. They have been identified as At Ferozpora Nallah Kunzer Sadam Hussain Lone son of Ab Rashid resident of Goigam, Sahil Ahmad Bhat son of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat and Mudasir Ahmad Bagh son of Abdul Aziz Bagh, both residents of Peth Kanihama.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
