Two drivers held for illegal extraction, transportation of minerals
Srinagar: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police on Wednesday seized two tractors and arrested two drivers in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, a police spokesman said.
He said that a police party seized two tractors and arrested their drivers identified as Tanveer Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Akbar Bhat and Manzoor Ahmad Wani son of Ali Mohammad Wani, both residents of Wanigam Bala at Dargam Nallah Palhallan, for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Pattan.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Pattan and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
