Police arrests drug peddler in Ganderbal
Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established at Margund arrested a drug peddler identified as Shareef-U-Din Chichi son of Ghulam Mohidin Chichi resident of Baba Reshi Chattergul. During search, contraband substance was recovered from his possession. He has been shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 13/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Kangan and further investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
