Training programme on cattle insurance scheme hosted for unemployed Youth
JAMMU: Livestock Development Board Jammu on Saturday organized a training programme for unemployed youth of Jammu.
The event was organised in collaboration with Oriental insurance company and Hindustan Insurance Brokers limited to facilitate their active participation in livestock insurance.
The event had the dual motive of providing livestock insurance to farmers at their door steps and creating a source of income for the unemployed youth.
Over 100 unemployed youth participated in the training programme.
Director Animal Husbandry Jammu Dr. Shubhra Sharma in his address emphasized on the importance of cattle insurance.
She motivated the unemployed youth to avail this opportunity to earn and simultaneously serve poor farmers through the scheme of cattle insurance.
Chief Executive Office Livestock Development Board Jammu Dr. Tariq Parvez, besides other senior officers and staff of the Animal Husbandry Department Jammu were also present on the occasion.
