Pr Secy H&UDD reviews arrangements ahead of VVIP visit
BARAMULLA: Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department (H&UDD), Dheeraj Gupta on Friday visited Baramulla to take a review of arrangements put in place for the upcoming visit of VVIP to Jammu and Kashmir.
The Principal Secretary visited Showkat Ali Stadium Khawaja Bagh Baramulla to take stock of facilities being put in place ahead of the VVIP visit.
He was accompanied by Chairperson District Development Council, Safina Beigh, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K Pole, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar, SSP Baramulla Rayees Mohammad Bhat and President Municipal Council Baramulla Touseef Raina.
Later, the Principal Secretary also chaired a meeting where arrangements for the upcoming visit of VVIP including traffic plan and public facilitation besides regulation of participants were discussed.
DC apprised the Principal Secretary of various measures being taken up ahead of the VVIP visit.
Principal Secretary directed that the R&B department will be the Nodal agency for stage set up and seating plan at the venue.
He instructed that ambulances, fire tender vehicles and water tankers may be kept available at the venue and directed the concerned officer to ensure regulation of public facilitation at the entry points to avoid chaotic situations at the event.
