Registration cum licensing mela held at Larnoo
ANANTNAG: The Food Safety team of district Anantnag Thursday organized a registration cum licensing Mela to issue licenses to Food Business Operators at Larnoo.
During the Mela, 60 applications were received for licenses and registrations out of which 55 registrations were issued on spot.
The President Municipal Committee Kokernag presided over the Mela and distributed the certificates among Food Business Operators.
In addition, the Food Business Operators were imparted awareness regarding RUCO initiative and SOPs regarding safe disposal of used oil.
They were sensitized about the harmful effects of newspapers used for wrapping food items.
The local people hailed the efforts of the department and advocated for more such programmes in near future.
