Pulwama: The residents of Noorabad area in Tral town area of Pulwama district on Monday demanded macadamisation of the main road.
The residents said that road leading to the area has not been macadamised several years and it is in dilapidated condition adding to the sufferings of people.
“Minor link roads are being macadamised everywherebut due to unknown reasons our road which is connecting hundreds of households has been left unattended,” Kamran Hussain, a local resident said.
He said the school going children and patients are suffering due to dilapidated condition of the road.
The locals said that they suffer in case of emergencies as road has developed big potholes.
“If there will be any fire incident, the fire service vehicle won’t reach there which is a cause of worry,” the locals said.
The residents said they brought this issue in notice of higher ups repeatedly but they always received verbal assurances.
“Unfortunately these assurances prove hoax on ground,” the locals said.
The residents urged the concerned authorities to look into the matter at an earliest and macadamise the road so that locals can heave a sigh of relief.
