Har Ghar Tiranga: DCs finalise preparations in Bandipora, Kupwara

Bandipora/Kupwara: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmed on Monday chaired a meeting of officers to discuss the preparations for celebrations of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Owais said that under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the government has launched Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign to encourage people to hoist the national flag at their homes to mark the 75th Independence Day.
He said the aim of the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative is to invoke feelings of patriotism and promote awareness about our National Flag besides promoting a sense of respect for the National Symbols.
Dr Owais directed officers to complete all the necessary arrangements in advance for successful celebration of Har Ghar Tiranga initiative. He asked all the District Heads of departments to submit the requisitions for National Flag for its timely and proper distribution among the employees.
He said the District Administration has put in place all the necessary arrangements for the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative and urged all the stakeholders to work in coordination and cooperation for observing all the events as per scheduled plan.
Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jahangir also chaired a meeting of all concerned Officers to finalise the preparations and plan of activities for celebrations of ‘Har GharTiranga’ programme to mark the 75th Independence Day under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
“The programme aims to invoke a feeling of patriotism among the citizens and promote a sense of respect for the symbols of Independence,” he said, adding that the programme is being held from August 11 to August 16.
He enjoined upon all officers and field functionaries to play a proactive role for successful conduct of programmes across the district. He also stressed them to ensure all necessary arrangements well in advance to make the programme a grand success.
The DC gave the deadline of August 1 and asked concerned people to deposit the money at Treasuries at a minimum price of Rs 20 per-flag. He said it is a multi-departmental task in which each and every employee has to participate and make the programme successful.
