Respected Sir,
The assassination of former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe in broad daylight has sent shock waves to the political world as well as distressed the minds of the civilians.
Designated as a peaceful nation where the people hardly resort to any violence and being known for its stringent gun control laws at the same time, it must have been unexpected for Mr. Abe that his life would be brought to such a painful end by an eccentric.
Ample credits may be given to Mr. Abe for his role of a nurturer in India-Japan relationship which gained new heights under his long tenure. One would like to remind that the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue Or QUAD which has now taken a center stage in the geopolitics has also been a brainchild of him.
Bullet kills persons, not their ideologies. The legacy left behind by Shinzo Abe will keep pulsating in the minds of every leader who aspires for a free and open Indo-Pacific region. While mourning an incalculable loss of a great leader, the QUAD members need to double their efforts for achieving the aim of the grouping to pay an unfeigned tribute to its founder.
