Lok Adalat settles 55 cases at Shopian
Shopian: A Lok Adalat was organized on Saturday at District Court Complex Shopian under the Chairmanship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Riyaz-Ul-Haq Mirza who is also the Principal District and Session Judge Shopian.
A total of three benches were constituted by the DLSA to settle cases of various natures.
Of 98 cases related to MACT, recovery suits Traffic Challans, Civil cases, Matrimonial cases and Criminal Compoundable cases taken up, 55 were settled amicably with a settlement amount Rs.65,83,230.
In the said Lok Adalat, besides Advocates, litigants and other prominent citizens also participated.
