Police solves theft case in Ganderbal
Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal solved a theft case by arresting one accused person involved in the crime and recovered stolen property worth lacs of rupees from his possession, a police spokesman said Friday.
He said that on Monday police Station Lar received a complaint from a person identified as Ishtiyaq Ahmad Rather son of Mohammad Maqbool Rather resident of Manigam Lar Ganderbal regarding theft in his house during the intervening night of 15/16 January 2022. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 03/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Lar and investigation was initiated.
On receipt of this information, officials constituted a special team and after strenuous efforts, the special team cracked the said case and arrested one person involved in the commission of crime. The accused has been identified as Suhail Ahmad Rather son of Ghulam Mohi-u-din resident of Baghwan Mohalla Manigam Lar Ganderbal.
On his disclosure, stolen property worth lacs of rupees including one I-Phone with charger, 02 Watches (Armani & Sekonda) and one Golden ring besides, tools used in the commission of crime were also recovered from his possession, the spokesman added.
