Leopard found dead in Soafshali Kokernag
Anantnag: A leopard was found dead in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said Tuesday.
They said thatsome villagers noticed the carcass of fully grown leopard lying in the bushes of Kogamnard Soafshali forest area of Kokernag and informed the concerned officials. Later a team of officials reached the spot and took the body into their posession.
When contacted, an official of the wildlife department said that it seems that the leopard had natural death.
However he said experts of forensic laboratory have taken the samples from the carcass and the report will confirm the cause of the death. (GNS)
