Gudoora youth seek repairs in play ground
Pulwama: The youth of Gudoora village and its adjoining areas in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district are up in arms against the local administration for damaging play ground in Gudoora locality and later failing to repair it.
The youth hailing from Gudoora said that during the construction of Covid hospital in the district, the administration dug up the ground in the play ground and later left it unrepaired.
They said that at the time of tilling the play ground the local officials assured us that they will repair the ground but their promises proved mere hoax as the officials did not bother to repair it after the covid situation improved.
Aamir Hussain, a local youth said that there is only one ground in the entire locality but this one too has been damaged by authorities.
He said that local youth are getting involved in drugs as they don’t have any space to spent time in sports activities.
Another youth Irfan Ahmad said that since then over five months have passed when we were assured that ground will be repaired.
He said that we have even protested several times so that the local authorities will take prompt action in this regard.
The local youth appealed the district development commissioner Pulwama and other officials to look into the matter and repair the ground at an earliest so that youth can spend their time in sports activities.
