India reports 46,148 new Covid-19 cases, 979 deaths in last 24 hours
New Delhi, June 28: India reported 46,148 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday. Active cases have come down to 5.72 lakh, officials said.
The daily count of deaths has dropped below 1,000 for the first time since April 12. 979 deaths were reported on Sunday, with Maharashtra, which reported 411 deaths, the only one to report more than 100 deaths. Among states, Kerala was the topmost contributor with 10,905 new cases. Maharashtra had 9,974 cases.
