Forces start CASO in multiple localities in north Kashmir’s Sopore

Sopore, June 19: A Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in various areas of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday early morning.
Reports said that CASO was launched in several areas of Sopore including Batpora, Sangrampora, Khushal Matoo, Muslimpeer, Baba Yousuf, Shalpora and other adjacent areas.
Forces including soldiers from 22 Rashtriya Rifles, SOG of J&K police and CRPF laid a siege in these localities and are conducting searches there.
As per locals the house to house searches were conducted in these areas as all the roads leading towards these areas were sealed by the forces.
Meanwhile, a senior police official Sopore confirmed and said following inputs about the presence of militants movement in these areas the search operation was launched.
