South Kashmir: Encounter breaks out in Kulgam village
Srinagar, Apr 10: A gunfight started between militants and government forces in Hadipora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday.
Reports said that a joint team of Police and army’s 34 RR launched a cordon and search operation in Hadipura.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.
A senior police officer also confirmed about exchange of fire between militants and security forces. (GNS)
