Encounter breaks out in Anantnag, one militant arrested
Srinagar, Dec 17: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces during the early hours on Thursday, a police spokesman said.
He said that an encounter started between militants and security forces at Gund Baba Khaleel, in Anantnag today early morning.
“One local HM militant identified as Zaheer Abbas Lone r/o Pulwama has been arrested in injured condition and shifted to hospital,” he said.
The encounter started after security forces laid a cordon in the area following a tipoff that militants are hiding in the area.
