Illicit timber seized In Kangan, vehicle confiscated
GANDERBAL: Forest department Ganderbal seized a vehicle loaded with illicit timber on Thursday in Panzin area of Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Reports said that forest department Ganderbal, headed by Range Officer Mansbal Ali Mohammad along with concerned Territorial staff seized a Tata Sumo vehicle without a number plate loaded with illicit timber.
The four huge logs of Deodar measuring 48.30Cfts were stuffed in the vehicle which was stopped at Panzin Kangan.
Range officer, Ali Mohammad said that smugglers managed to flee from the spot however, the illicit timber along with vehicle without number plate was seized.
