Police seize several machines, tippers in Awantipora
Srinagar: Police seized two L&T machines, 01 JCB and 02 tippers involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in the areas of Khrew and Awantipora, a police spokesman said Friday.
He said that in Khrew, a police party seized the said vehicles involved in illegal excavation activities. Similarly, in Awantipora, a police party seized vehicles used for illegal mining and transportation of minerals.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Khrew and Police Station Awantipora, and further investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
