Mughal Road faces closure due to snowfall, rains lash plains
Srinagar, Dec: Following fresh snowfall on Sunday, the historic Mughal road has been temporarily closed as a precautionary measure, a traffic official said.
Officials said that Mughal road, connecting Shopian with Rajouri-Poonch districts was closed following snowfall at Pir Ki Gali.
He said that Traffic movement has been stopped on the road due to fresh snowfall. “People are advised to avoid travelling on Mughal Road until the road becomes passable,” he added.
Meanwhile, light snowfall has also started at Gulmarg and Sonamarg, while as it has started to rain at many other places including Srinagar.
