Police arrests drug peddler, seizes contraband substance
Srinagar: Police in Pulwama recovered a significant quantity of contraband during a naka checking operation at Koil Pulwama, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
He said that a police team intercepted a suspect and recovered 1.190 kilograms of charas powder-like substance from his possession. The accused has been identified as Tariq Ahmad Rather son of Mohammad Sabir Rather resident of Lajoora Pulwama.
A case has been registered at Police Station Pulwama under FIR No. 279/2025, and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
