Police arrests two absconders from Bangalore, Maharashtra
Both were evading arrest for more than a decade
Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal achieved a significant breakthrough by apprehending two long-time fugitives who had been evading arrest for the past 13 years, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said that a dedicated police team after sustained and meticulous efforts, succeeded in tracing the duo from Bangalore and Maharashtra, where they were arrested.
The arrested persons have been identified as Mudasir Ahmad War son of Nazir Ahmad War resident of Batpora Sopore and Mushtaq Ahmad Wani son of Ali Mohammad Wani resident of Lolpora Kunzar Tangmarg. The duo was wanted in connection with FIR No. 34/2013 under section 392, 511, 34 RPC and FIR No. 17/2013 under section 366, 109 RPC.
Their apprehension brings an end to over more than a decade of evasion and ensures that they face the due course of law, the spokesman added.
