Police arrests three absconders in Sopore
Srinagar, Oct 25: Police on Saturday said that in a continuous and focused crackdown against absconders and long-evading offenders, police on Saturday apprehended four absconders, including three wanted in a heinous crime case pending since 2014.
A police spokesman said that a special team arrested Mohammad Sadiq Khan, son of Mohammad Yousuf Khan, Ajaz Ahmad Shah, son of Mohammad Mozim Shah, and Mohsin Ali Shah, son of Mohammad Mozim Shah all residents of Paranpilan, Uri—who were wanted in FIR No. 10/2014 U/S 363, 376, 109 RPC of Police Station Panzalla. The trio had been absconding for the last 11 years to evade the law.
In another operation, Police apprehended Shahzad Ahmad Lone, son of Mohammad Ramzan Lone, resident of Bunkoot Bandipora, wanted in FIR No. 241/2019 U/S 366, 376D, 344, 109 RPC of Police Station Sopore. He had been evading arrest since 2019.
After completing the necessary legal formalities, all the arrested absconders are being produced before the courts of competent jurisdiction at Baramulla and Sopore, the spokesman added.
