PSAJK delegation calls on Justice (Retd.) Sunil Hali
Srinagar: A delegation of the Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) led by its President Nazrul Islam Baba accompanied by other senior members met Justice (Retd.) Sunil Hali, Chairman, FFRC, at his office chamber located in the Old Assembly Complex, Lal Chowk, Srinagar, a statement issued by the association said Friday.
The meeting was convened in the backdrop of the recent FFRC order barring 781 schools from collecting any kind of fee. The delegation earnestly presented the concerns of the affected institutions and requested an extension in the timeline for submission of requisite files by the defaulting schools that, due to various unavoidable reasons, could not complete the process within the earlier deadline.
After a patient and detailed hearing, the Chairman was gracious enough to grant a one-month extension for the submission of files pertaining to the regularisation of fee structures, the statement added.
Furthermore, the Chairman assured that a Nodal Officer from his office will be designated to stay in close liaison to address any bottleneck faced with the general Secretary PSAJK.
Notably, all the District Presidents of PSAJK shall establish helpdesks for all those schools, who are figuring in defaulting list. The nodal officer will coordinate with the association and facilitate the defaulting schools in every possible manner, communication, guidance and support related to submission and completion of fee regularisation files.
All those schools whose names have been reflected in the recent FFRC order barring them from collecting fees of any sort, as well as any other schools that have not yet submitted their files, are requested to immediately contact their respective District Presidents for necessary guidance and coordination, the association statement added.
The Association extended its heartfelt gratitude to Justice (Retd.) Sunil Hali for his understanding, patience, and positive approach, and assured that PSAJK will strive for maximum compliance within the extended time frame.
