Partially decomposed body recovered in Shopian forests
Srinagar, Oct 9: A partially decomposed body was recovered on Thursday morning at Chotipora area of Heerpora in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
An official said that the body was found by some locals in a small stream within the dense forests of Chotipora following which police were informed.
He said that the police team quickly arrived at the scene and took custody of the body for necessary medico-legal formalities.
He said that efforts are on to ascertain the identity of the deceased.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance and started an investigation in this regard. (KNO)
