Police solves theft case in Sopore, recovers stolen mobile handset
Srinagar: Police in Sopore solved a theft case reported by a complainant from Mawer Handwara regarding the theft of a mobile handset, a police spokesman said Monday.
He said that a complaint was received by Police regarding theft of a mobile handset on Monday. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 203/2025 under relevant provisions of law was registered at Police Station Sopore, and investigation was initiated. During the course of enquiry, one accused identified as Sadiq Ahmad Ganie son of Late Bashir Ahmad Ganie resident of Hathishah Tarzoo was called for questioning. On sustained questioning, he confessed to the crime and on his disclosure, the stolen mobile handset was recovered. Further investigation in the case is underway, the spokesman added.
