Mega Sewa Parv camp held at NTPHC Khurhama Kupwara
KUPWARA: In line with the ongoing nationwide campaign to bring government services closer to the people, a mega Sewa Parv camp was organized at New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC), Khurhama in Lolab sub division.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse; VC DDC, Haji Farooq; SDM Lolab, CMO Kupwara, Tehsildar Lalpora, SDPO Lolab, BDO, ZEO ,CDPO besides, Officer from Army, officer and officials from line departments and local residents attended the camp.
A wide range of services including health check-ups, issuance of domicile certificates, revenue services, Aadhaar enrollment, social welfare schemes, and skill development information were made available to the public under one roof.
On his arrival, DC and the VC DDC took part in a plantation drive in the compound of the NTPHC. They also inspected the stalls installed by different departments providing awareness to the participants about their schemes.
Addressing the gathering, DC emphasized the significance of such outreach programs in strengthening the last-mile delivery of governance. He appreciated the line departments for conducting camps in different parts of the district to reach out to the people and appealed to the people to take benefit under these camps.
He mentioned various schemes including PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, PM Golden Card, Aabha, Ayushman Bharat, APY, Accidental Insurance, JJY, SBY etc and urged upon the people to get enrolled under these schemes to take benefit. He said such outreach camps will be conducted in future as well by the district administration to reach out to the people living in remote areas of the district.
VC DDC Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir also spoke and expressed hope that more such programs will be held in future as well so that people get more awareness of the government schemes for their benefit.
During the camp various sanction letters were handed over to the applicants under Integrated Sheep Development Scheme for establishment of 20 Ewes Sheep Unit. Besides, ST and other revenue related certificates were also handed over to the concerned applicants.
Officers from Health, Revenue, Social Welfare, Rural Development, Agriculture, and other line departments actively participated in the camp. On-the-spot redressal of public grievances and awareness sessions about key government schemes were also held.
Information Department Kupwara in collaboration with Cultural Unit Kashmir and Pahari Cultural Club conducted a cultural programme at the venue which attracted and enthralled the audience. School children also presented cultural variety programmes in the camp.
CMO Kupwara briefed the participants about various health schemes aimed for welfare of the people.
