Police arrests drug peddler in Awantipora
Srinagar: Police in Awantipora arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband from his possession, a police spokesman said Saturday.
He said that a police team at a checkpoint arrested a drug peddler identified as Shakeel Ahmad Lone son of Manzoor Ahmad Lone resident of Lethpora. During search, officers were able to recover 2.9 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR Number 188/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Awantipora and investigation has been initiated.
