DC Srinagar hands-over sanction letters to aspiring entrepreneurs
SRINAGAR, AUGUST 25: In a continued effort to promote youth entrepreneurship and to create livelihood opportunities for aspiring youth of district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo on Monday handed-over sanction letters to aspiring entrepreneurs of the district under Mission YUVA to help them establish their own ventures.
In this connection, the 2nd Roz-e-Yuva was organized at the meeting hall of the DC Office Complex which was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Rifat Aftab Qureshi; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; General Manager J&K Bank, Peer Masood Ahmad Chisti; LDM (Banks), Nilofer Jan; heads of various J&K Bank Business Units and other concerned, alongside a large number of Mission YUVA beneficiaries from different parts of the Srinagar district.
On the occasion, over 250 fresh sanction letters to aspiring entrepreneurs under Mission YUVA initiative were distributed for whom proposals had been approved after detailed evaluation by the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC). These 250 approvals follow the distribution of 200 sanction letters earlier this month, bringing the total number of beneficiaries under Mission YUVA in Srinagar to 450.
Speaking on the occasion, DC lauded the efforts of all the stakeholder departments and banks who worked hard round the clock to create a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Srinagar district. He expressed his happiness to see aspiring youth across the district enthusiastically becoming part of mission YUVA.

He expressed satisfaction at the growing enthusiasm among the youth. He added that it is encouraging to see the young generation of Srinagar actively participating in Mission YUVA and moving towards self-employment and economic empowerment. He also urged the beneficiaries to take maximum benefit from the scheme and become job providers.
DC added that the district administration Srinagar will provide all possible support to aspiring entrepreneurs and help them to establish their own income generating ventures through self-employment opportunities under Mission Yuva. He further urged the aspiring, interested entrepreneurs to visit the Mission Yuva website to know the benefits being offered by the government in the form of credit and interest subvention.
