Heavy rains force closure of schools in Rajouri, Poonch
JAMMU, Aug 12: Authorities in Rajouri and Poonch districts have ordered the closure of all government and private schools today across the district due to heavy rains and adverse weather conditions, officials said on Tuesday morning.
According to an official, “All government and private schools in Rajouri district have been closed in view of heavy rainfall and bad weather conditions.”
As per a statement, the Deputy Commissioner of Poonch, in view of the prevailing weather conditions, also has directed the closure of all government and private schools in the district today, August 12, 2025, as a precautionary measure.
