Power shutdown announced
SRINAGAR: Authorities on Saturday announced power shutdown for next week across many areas.
According to the Chief Engineer, JKPTCL Kashmir, in order to carry out twining of top tier, middle tier etc. of the 80 MVA Transformer bay on the 33 KV side, installation of isolators, and installation of 33 KV Circuit Breaker in the 33 KV Bandipora feeder and 80 MVA Transformer, the power supply to Panzulla, Rohama, Nowpora, F#3 PHE MID, Tragpora, Ladoora, Watergam, Behrampora, Langate, Safalpora, Ashpora, Sopore Town, Arampora, Seelo, Doabgah, Achabal, Bomai, Panzipora, Kehnusa, Botingoo, Hygam, Sher Colony, Tujjar, Dangerpora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 07.00 AM to 04.00 PM on 11, 12 & 14 August, 2025.
In another statement, the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL said that in order to carry out ACSR stringing, shutdown of 33KV Badampora Kurhama Dab line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Kurhama, Dab, GCET, Sainik School shall remain off while power supply to Kurhama, Youngpora, Baroosa, Old Dab, Checki Baba, Sainik School, Rabitar, Kondbal, GCET Safapora and adjoining areas will be affected from 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM on 11 August, 2025.
Also in order to carry out the work of Branch cutting/ stabilization work, shutdown of 33 KV Potushai Gurez line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Dawar, Gurez shall remain off while power supply to Dawar, Wanpora, Tragbal, NHPC and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 10 & 16 August, 2025.
Similarly, in order to facilitate corridor for proposed 11 KV Pencil Village Oukhoo, the shutdown of 33 KV Pampore-Pulwama line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Newa, Kakapora, LIS Marvel-I, II, III & IV shall remain off while power supply to Kakapora, Pohoo, Nehama, Newa, Gadoora, Parigam and adjoining areas will be affected from 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM on 11 & 17 August, 2025.
