Dear Sir,
Regional Translation Quality Concerns
Big Tech companies continue to deliver flawed translations for Indian regional languages like Hindi, Marathi,Kannada, Malyalam,Tamil and Telugu despite claiming AI progress.
Their systems regularly produce tone deaf, contextually wrong and culturally offensive outputs. This isn’t just sloppy tech, its irresponsible deployment at scale. Misleading translations in bios, posts and ads can incite public outrage and damage credibility.
Social media is flooded with proof yet the fixes remain superficial. Until they build truly inclusive, linguistically robust models with native language expertise these features should be paused. Half-baked AI is not a substitute for linguistic intelligence and the consequences are already visible.
