Police destroys wild Cannabis in Awantipora
Srinagar: Police in collaboration with Excise Department, Agriculture Department and Revenue department launches joint anti-Cannabis drive and destroyed Wild Cannabis in Awantipora, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said that a police party alongwith officers of Excise, Revenue and Agriculture Departments launched a special drive against cannabis and destroyed Wild Cannabis spread over approximately 10 Kanals along the banks of River Jhelum in Reshipora. The operation witnessed the active involvement of civil society members who worked together to clear substantial patches of wild cannabis from the riverbanks, the spokesman added.
