Sports equipment distributed among students in Kakapora
Pulwama: In a vibrant ceremony held at Government Middle School, Lalhara, BJP leader and former Pulwama district president, Mohammad Lateef Bhat, took a significant step towards promoting the mental and physical development of school children by distributing sports equipment to ten promising students from government schools across the Pampore constituency.
The event, which emphasized the critical role of sports in holistic education, saw the participation of several young athletes and community leaders. The distribution drive aims to encourage school children to actively engage in sports, helping them build discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness alongside academic excellence.
Prominent dignitaries who graced the occasion included Advocate Minha Lateef Bhat, DDC Member Kakapora; Mohammad Shafi Wani, former General Secretary; Farooq Ahmad Wani and Raj Mohammad Wani, both former constituency presidents; and Nazir Ahmad, ex-Sarpanch of Ggalbugh. Their presence underlined the collective commitment of local leadership towards youth development and grassroots sports promotion.
Speaking at the event, Mohammad Lateef Bhat highlighted the importance of nurturing young talent and equipping them with the necessary resources to excel not only in academics but also in sports.
