Police seizes vehicles, arrests drivers for illegal extraction of minerals
Srinagar: In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, police in Kulgam have seized four vehicles and arrested four persons for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
He said that a police party at Kulgam seized four vehicles (01 Tipper, 01 Dumper, and 02 Tractors) and arrested four drivers for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
Accordingly, cases vide FIR Nos. 52 & 53/2025 under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Kulgam and further investigation is going on in both cases, he added.
