Encounter breaks out in Kishtwar Woods
Jammu, May 22: An encounter is underway between security forces and terrorists in forest area of Singhpora Chatroo in Kishtwar on Thursday morning.
Officials said that contact was established with terrorists after a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in forest area between Shari and Mandral Dhok area based on a specific input.
As per the reports, two to three terrorists are holed up in the woods, they said.
The exchange of fire was underway while this report is being filed.
