Five structures including 20 shops gutted in blaze at Bandipora north Kashmir
Srinagar: At least five commercial, residential structures including 20 shops were gutted in a massive blaze in main market of Sumbal area of Bandipora district on Sunday night.
Officials said that fire erupted from one of the structures in main market Sumbal and soon engulfed five other structures which include residential as well as commercial structures.
Soon Fire and Emergency Services from Sumbal, FS Batwina and FS Safapora command Ganderbal, subsequently reached to the main market Sumbal, the official said.
The fire was brought under control after hectic efforts from Fire and Emergency services, locals and the police.
However, twenty shops were damaged in this incident. (GNS)
