Pulwama: A powerful wave of patriotism swept through Pulwama on Saturday as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a grand tricolor rally, drawing hundreds of party leaders, workers, and local residents in a fervent display of national unity and support for the armed forces.
The rally, led by senior BJP leaders Mohammad Lateef Bhat and Arshad Bhat, began at the Pulwama police lines and culminated at Main Chowk. Streets echoed with chants hailing the Indian Army and condemning Pakistan, as participants waved the national flag and marched with high spirits, reflecting an atmosphere charged with national pride.
Speaking to the media, former BJP district president Mohammad Lateef Bhat praised the Indian Army and Air Force for their valor during Operation Sindh.
“The entire nation is proud of our armed forces. Their bravery and professionalism safeguard our sovereignty. The BJP stands firmly committed to the unity and integrity of the nation,” Bhat asserted.
The event saw the presence of several prominent BJP leaders, including former General Secretary Mohd Shafi Wani, ex-Vice President Aftab Ahmad, senior leader Arshad Bhat, and former constituency presidents Farooq Ahmad and Raj Mohammad. Current constituency presidents Nazir Ahmad, Junaid Ahmad (Rajpora), and Khursheed Bhat also attended, underscoring a united front from the party’s local leadership.
Held under tight security arrangements, the rally concluded peacefully, with law enforcement ensuring smooth proceedings and public safety.
This spirited demonstration of patriotism and solidarity comes amid ongoing concerns over national security and regional stability, reinforcing the BJP’s message of unwavering support for the armed forces and national unity.
